Manager - IT Applications

Oversee and lead the IT Application Management team in all aspects of applications – new, enhancement, integration, application support and IT roadmap for the Group.

  1. Lead in the Group’s IT roadmap planning process, execution and seeing through all milestones and deliverables are completed accordingly and within timeline
  2. Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all GMG applications and act as a primary contact with software vendors
  3. Lead and provide technical direction in all aspects of applications
  4. Lead and oversee application changes, enhancement practices, application and database support and troubleshooting planning
  5. Gather and document business requirements, conduct process analysis and draft conceptual design
  6. Define a development standards methodology that fits our environment and accommodate changing business priorities
  7. Responsible for managing the day-to day activities of application management in GMG
  8. Lead all application and database support activities
  9. Monitor application modification by vendors and IT team and ensure best practices are being utilized and deliverables are delivered according to specification and within the timeline
  10. Ensure that vendor and IT team are responding to reported problems in a timely manner
  11. Identify the cause, design or develop approach for problem resolution
  12. Establish a structured documentation for application management and support
  13. Work with business units within GMG to identify areas where automation, computer systems or integration could aid in efficiency
  14. Strenghten and build capabilities of the in-house IT application team
  15. Other ad-hoc assignments assigned from time to time
  1. Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  2. At least 10 years of experience with in-depth insight into application development, application support and database management
  3. Strong project management skills with exposure in managing myriad application development project
  4. Excellent in Java and MS SQL
  5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  6. In depth understanding of application development cycle utilizing application development methodologies, best practices
  7. Strong in testing and quality assurance of applications
  8. Ability to interpret and express user requirement and translate them into specifications
  9. Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues and come up with solutions to resolve problems in relation to project and application service delivery
  10. Strong MS Office skills ( Word, Excel)
  11. Excellent organizational, team work and communication skills

Customer Accounts Representative (CAR)

Responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers, liaise effectively between customers and internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of our services according to customer needs.

  1. Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to assigned customers
  2. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  3. Liaise effectively with the different internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of our services according to customer needs
  4. Monitor the different business functions and locations that impacts customer and report accordingly for improvement
  5. Prepare and provide timely and accurate periodic update, reports, findings and analysis to Management
  6. Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
  7. Ensure that day to day operations w.r.t to the customer, which takes place from collection point to delivery of vehicles are in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure which has been set
  8. Ensure that Checkers based in each location or Customers, provide advice of transport requirements 24 hours prior to collection time.
  9. Ensure that drivers arrive at the Customers location for collection of vehicles according to the SoP which has been agreed to. Daily Non-Compliance to be to Management & Human Resources Team
  10. Ensure that Drivers which attend to the collection/trip plan presents a valid Delivery Order from TMS. Daily Non-Compliance to be reported
  11. Daily Non-Compliance Report of Drivers which should have showed up for a collection/trip plan, but was a no show to be provided to Management & Human Resources Team
  12. Identify gaps in the operations which are not in accordance with SoP, reasons for its' deviation from SoP and what must be done in order to follow SoP
  1. Minimum Diploma or Degree
  2. Must possess own transport and willing to work in different locations
  3. Experience in account management of land transport, port and vessel operations will be of added advantage
  4. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  5. Able to use MS office effectively
